October Happenings

October was such a busy month that I just now realized I didn't post anything to the blog. AAAHHH!!! We had such a fun month. We had a family trip to the pumpkin patch, Baylor Homecoming, and Halloween. Not to mention soccer games every weekend! Here are some pics. There are more (lots more!) on smugmug.

Homecoming was super fun this year! We saw so many friends and family. Homecoming to our family is so special. It's not about the football game (thank goodness...or we wouldn't go!!!). Homecoming is a time to go back to campus and celebrate all the things that make Baylor...Baylor! It's a time to reflect back on our days there and celebrate what it is now. Baylor is such a special place. Of course, it's special to Josh and me because we met there, got engaged on campus, and enjoyed such a WONDERFUL college experience. Where else can you enjoy a Division I Big 12 school that celebrates and embraces it's Christian heritage? We love that you can get a wonderful education based on Christian principles at Baylor. Plus, campus life is SO MUCH FUN! We can't wait for our kids to experience the same one day. They already love Baylor and Jace can even sing the fight song AND The Good Ol' Baylor Line! It's not perfect, but we'll take it! And...we learned an interesting fact this weekend. Baylor is second only to the University of Texas in the Big 12 in the amount of National Championships won. WE LOVE OUR BEARS!

And finally, we finished October off with a bang and lots of Trick-or-Treating. The kids got so much candy! We had so much fun on Halloween this year. We went to Mimi and Aunt Lauren's school's fall festival, then we went trick-or-treating. The kids really did well, even Morgan! Jace would go up to the doors and say "Trick-or-Treat" and Morgan would follow suit in her own little 22-month-old language! Halloween was so fun as a kid for me and I want to give my kids the same experience. We keep the focus on candy, pumpkins, dressing up, fall, etc. and nothing "dark". It's part of being a kid and they are having a blast with it. I used to HATE Halloween, but now with kids it's slowly becoming one of my favorite "kid" holidays!

Trick or Treat!!
